15 mistakes when booking and entering evening venues of Dubai — and how to avoid them
Before booking
- You choose not the right format. First determine whether you need rooftop or lounge — see the comparison: /rooftop-vs-lounge-in-dubai/.
- There is no plan by time. Prime time 22:00–02:00; the best view at the sunset — lay 20:00–21:00.
- You do not ask about minimums/deposits. Clarify whether there is a minimum amount for a table/zone.
- You book “as is.” Popular places without a reservation may not let in at full — book in advance.
- You ignore the location of the table. In the comment to the reservation ask “terrace/window/high table” — a chance to get a better place.

On the day of going out
- You are late to the reservation. Arrive 10–15 minutes earlier, otherwise the table may be given away.
- Underdressed. For “adult” places in the evening — smart-casual and closed shoes.
- There is no original ID. A document is needed (21+) — foreign passport/ID/driver’s license in the original.
- Inappropriate behavior at the entrance. Loud arguments/noise — a quick refusal. Keep respectfully.
- You set the meeting at the main entrance. Choose a point to the side — more convenient for a taxi.
During the evening
- You move to the club too early. Stay through the sunset/first set, then move.
- You do not watch the bill. Clarify what is included in the minimum/deposit, check the items before payment.
- You wait for a taxi at the peak moment. Call a car 10–15 minutes before closing — without a crowd.
After the evening
- You do not give feedback on the reservation. A short “thank you” and a note of favorite zones will help in the future.
- You do not update internal bookmarks. Save successful routes/tables/time — will come in handy for the next going out.
